Photography and animation of the lunar eclipse on October 28, 2023 by Iraj Safaei at University of Kashan Observatory
A partial lunar eclipse occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 28, 2023. The imaging of this celestial phenomenon was done with a Canon 5D camera and an eight-inch MEADE telescope. 47 images were photographed in 2 hours and 3 minutes, then animation was done by placing the images one after the other. Since the placement of the telescope was azimuth-elevation, the effect of the apparent rotation of the moon relative to the observer during the imaging time can be easily seen. Photography and animation were done by Iraj Safaei at the University of Kashan observatory (UKO) in Niaser.
