Photography and animation of the lunar eclipse on October 28, 2023 by Iraj Safaei at University of Kashan Observatory

A partial lunar eclipse occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 28, 2023. The imaging of this celestial phenomenon was done with a Canon 5D camera and an eight-inch MEADE telescope. 47 images were photographed in 2 hours and 3 minutes, then animation was done by placing the images one after the other. Since the placement of the telescope was azimuth-elevation, the effect of the apparent rotation of the moon relative to the observer during the imaging time can be easily seen.
